This is a great all-purpose teriyaki Sauce. The sauce has a nice balance of sweet and salty, (you can’t beat that combination). It mixes up in minutes and makes a great marinade for chicken, beef, pork and tofu. While I have not used this on fish, I bet this would be a great marinade for salmon. I love me some salmon teriyaki.

Flank Steak

Like this flank steak. We marinated this overnight. It was amazing. I have never seen two little boys eat so much so fast, you would have thought they had a plate of gummy worms in front of them. All I know is there was a lot of pushing and shoving and yes, even crying, (sorry to out you honey), when everyone realized it was all gone.

Teriyaki Chicken

Let us not forget chicken. It’s kind of a no-brainier. This was marinated for 4 hours. While I did not get the same response with the chicken as I did with the flank steak, it was a close second.

Best of all, it uses few ingredients that are pretty run-of-the-mill and most people probably already have in their pantry. Your not the average run-of-the-mill variety? Well then, just pop on down to your local market and ta-da, everything you need should be right there. You have lots of room to play around with this recipe, if you’re feeling really sassy, you can add some fresh crushed ginger. Yeah, I vote for being sassy!
